Beacon offers a full-time program, Monday through Friday, from 9am to 3pm. Youth may join Beacon for as many as five days per week or as few as one. Most members attend at least two days and up. New applications and members are accepted throughout the year.
Beacon is committed to being an economically diverse community. We work with families of all financial backgrounds and offer fee reductions to make membership affordable.
Our current full-year fee is $15,000
Long-time homeschooling families have used Beacon resources to support and enrich their learning through memberships, and Beacon Community Classes (BCC). Please contact us to find out what we can offer your family.
The application process typically begins with an email or phone conversation. We can answer your initial questions about Beacon and find a time for an in-person chat—with just the parents if desired, but ideally including the teen. After this conversation, we’ll invite the teen to spend a day at Beacon to give them a chance to meet the other members and staff and to get a sense of how Beacon works. If the family and teen feel that Beacon is a good fit the next step is to fill out a Member Application.
If space is available at Beacon and we feel we can be helpful, we will schedule a family meeting to go over membership paperwork, answer any additional questions, and to finalize financial details.
